Off to Isle Royale, again!!

We are pretty lucky. We're going to Isle Royale again for the whole week - this time just Lizzie and me. For the past few days we've been hanging out in Grand Marais, which is a pretty fun place. It's been hot but we swam in the lake (ok I ran in and out and Lizzie watched), hiked up the Kadunce River, hiked the Cascade River loop, ate custard, pizza, and custard, hiked up to Pincushion Mountain, etc. (and maybe we did some work in there at one point)

We bought some JUNKET and some BLUEBS (blueberries) for a 4th of July celebration on Isle Royale. It should be fun! Lizzie is bringing a fishing rod so hopefully she will catch me some fish. Mmmmm! AND we have a new Nevada Barr novel - Blood Lure!
